About the Trainer
LaQuondra Patterson-Levias, M.Ed., LPC-S, NCC
Hey There! My name is LaQuondra, expert clinical supervisor. Supervision is one of my absolute favorite things to do! Especially, having the opportunity to expand and prepare my reach in communities of color by training novice counselors. Now it's time to go higher and train other supervisors to do the same. One thing I've learned is that quality and compatible supervision is key to launching a career.
I am a graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a master of education degree in community counseling. I am an LPC-S in the state of Texas (#70203) and a national certified counselor. Over the past decade, I have gained experience working with men, women, children, and adolescents in various community settings such as residential treatments, outpatient clinics, non profit agency, and private practice with a variety of diagnoses such as major depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders.

Originally from Maryland, I moved to Texas in 2007. When I'm not supervising, I enjoy spending time with family, especially my parents, husband, and 2 boys.
I enjoyed the entire process of supervision. We had real conversations during staffing which helped build my confidence as a counselor. I always felt supported during the process which was a priority. I heard news from other LPCA’s experiences with their supervisors which were not pleasant. I was proud to genuinely encourage them to switch (if there were openings) to LaQuondra because of her knowledge, expertise, encouragement and overall support in the process.
The training sessions were incredible! We learned how to engage my clients and communicate more effectively.
It's not just about learning new skills; it's about applying them in real-life scenarios. The program provides practical tools that I can implement immediately.
The counseling sessions have been a game-changer for me. It's incredibly helpful to have a professional counselor who understands the complexities of my role.
